Adobe under fire

Adobe is coming under fire from a lot of people these days, from pricing to use of AI and software bugs.

I know that the development teams are really pushing to add new features to help creatives, and to keep ahead of the competition from the likes of Canva/Affinity, as we are on regular calls with them testing and discussing the tools and new features. Things like Project Turntable allowing 2D artwork to be rotated is something we thought was a mockup at Adobe MAX last year but is now in beta and is already very impressive and will be a huge time saver.

This competition and pressure is surely only good for users although many of us are keen to get older features revisited and improved at the same time.

As an Adobe Community Expert, I may be seen to be viewing through red-tinted glasses but we are seeing so much change at the moment, with AI threatening to take away creative work from designers, illustrators, photographers, videographers and editors, it makes sense to try and push what the tools can do to help.

Companies like Astute Graphics who have their incredible and essential suite of tools for Adobe Illustrator (the original Ai) are always innovating to help speed creatives’s workflow and do things they cannot do in Illustrator itself.

We are at a real turning point in many creative fields just now but I am convinced creativity will win and that Adobe will be helping us get there.
